JR Matthews
JR has been performing successful buyouts for nearly 20 years, as both an executive and an investor. While still in his twenties, he led the buy-out of a group of East Coast wholesale, retail and real estate companies. Over 10 years, he grew the companies to over $80 million in revenue and 300 employees and successfully exited through a strategic sale.
As an investor, JR focuses on buyouts and growth opportunities. Before founding Caldicot, he invested actively as both a venture capital and private equity investor focusing on niche companies in a variety of industries.
Matthews received a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Duke University with Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude honors and Distinction and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the Duke University Pratt School of Engineering Board of Visitors.

David Pickerd
David is an accomplished investor with over a decade of experience performing middle market buyouts. Prior to joining Caldicot, he was a Principal at Tregaron Capital where he led initiatives to source and execute new investments as well as support the firm's portfolio companies.
Before joining Tregaron, David worked at Vector Capital, a San Francisco based private equity group with $2 billion under management, where he executed middle market buyouts in North America and Europe. David began his career in investment banking at Citigroup in Palo Alto, focusing on mergers and financings in the technology industry. David also worked at Bain & Company, where he provided strategic advice to middle market and Fortune 500 clients.
Pickerd received a BS in accounting from Brigham Young University, magna cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Paul Kiraly
Paul is an Associate at Caldicot Capital. His responsibilities include sourcing deals, conducting due diligence, structuring and executing transactions, and supporting portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Caldicot, he worked as an analyst at Tregaron Capital, a middle market private equity fund investing across the business services, industrials, and technology sectors. Before that, he worked at Silver Trail Ventures in San Francisco focusing on investing in early stage enterprise software startups.
Kiraly received a BS in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a minor in Music.
